Instructions for use (self-adhesive version)

Surface preparation

For reliable and long-lasting adhesion, the surface must be:

• dry
• clean
• dust-free
• grease- and silicone-free
• viable

Suitable surfaces include, among others:

• Wood (multiplex, MDF etc.)
• metal
• painted surfaces
• suitable plastics

For difficult or low-energy plastics, we recommend a test bonding.

Bonding

1. Cut the felt to size
2. Peel off the backing paper section by section.
3. Apply felt without tension
4. Rub evenly and with pressure (squeegee or pressure roller recommended)

The initial adhesion allows for precise positioning.

Full adhesive strength develops within approximately 24 hours.

During this time, strong mechanical stresses should be avoided.

Shaping

The 3 mm wool felt is dimensionally stable and at the same time flexible enough for typical camper contours and slightly curved surfaces.

For very tight radii or complex shapes, prior adjustment or segmented laying is recommended.

Care & Cleaning

Wool felt is durable and well suited for everyday mobile use.

Standard care:

• Vacuum using a low suction setting.
  

In case of heavier soiling:

• use a slightly damp cloth
• some wool detergent
• Do not rub hard

The natural lanolin content makes the fiber dirt-repellent.

Wool also has antibacterial properties and absorbs odors significantly less than synthetic textiles.

Does the wool felt have a smell?

Yes. Genuine wool felt has a subtle, natural scent of sheep's wool.

This dissipates over time during normal vehicle operation.

Is wool felt flame-resistant?

Wool is naturally difficult to ignite.

It doesn't melt or drip like many synthetic materials.

However, a specific fire protection certification is not automatically included.

Does wool felt support moisture regulation?

Yes. Wool is hygroscopic and can absorb moisture from the air and release it again in dry conditions.

This contributes to a more balanced indoor climate in the vehicle.

Does wool felt insulate against noise and cold?

Yes. The material density has a sound-absorbing effect and supports thermal insulation.

However, it does not replace technical insulation, but rather complements it as a functional surface layer.

Does the felt adhere immediately?

It adheres to suitable surfaces after being pressed down.

However, the final adhesive strength is only achieved after about 24 hours.

Can the felt be removed?

Complete removal without residue cannot be guaranteed.

Depending on the surface, adhesive residue or damage may occur.

This product is sold by the meter and is cut individually according to your order. As the material is cut to your specified dimensions, the right of withdrawal does not apply; returns or exchanges are excluded (in accordance with § 312g para. 2 no. 1 BGB).
