For which applications is the 4 mm thickness suitable?
The 4 mm version is the strongest and is suitable for high damping requirements, larger gaps, and more heavily stressed contact surfaces. It is ideal for intensive impact damping, floor protection, and applications with higher pressure loads.

What is the difference to 3 mm felt tape?
A 4 mm thickness offers greater material strength, higher shock absorption, and better bridging of larger gaps. Under heavier loads, a 4 mm thickness lasts longer than thinner versions.

Is 4 mm suitable as a furniture glide?
4 mm is well suited for flat furniture surfaces with higher loads and reliably protects floors from scratches and pressure marks.
For furniture subject to consistently high point loads (e.g., heavy chair or table legs in commercial settings), we recommend specially designed felt glides.

How much damping effect does the 4 mm felt strip provide?
Due to its maximum material thickness, it offers the highest shock and noise absorption within our felt tape series.

Can I seal larger gaps with 4 mm?
Yes. The 4 mm thickness is particularly suitable for bridging larger gaps and for significantly reducing drafts indoors.

Is the felt tape suitable for outdoor use?
No. This product is intended for indoor use. Prolonged exposure to moisture or weather can impair its adhesive strength and material structure.

How do I attach the felt tape correctly?
Clean and dry the surface → cut to the desired length → peel off the protective film → stick it on and press firmly.
For optimal adhesion, processing should be carried out at room temperature.

Is the 4 mm felt tape reusable?
No. The dispersion acrylate adhesive is designed for a permanent bond. Once removed, the tape is generally not reusable.

How long does the 4 mm felt tape last?
Under normal indoor use, a lifespan of several years is possible. The actual lifespan depends on pressure, friction, substrate, and environmental conditions.

When should I choose a thinner version?
1.5 mm or 2 mm are suitable for discreet sealing and light impacts.
3 mm is suitable for medium loads.
4 mm is recommended when maximum damping and higher load-bearing capacity are required.
