For which applications is the 3 mm thickness suitable?
The 3 mm version is suitable for heavier impacts, higher damping requirements, and larger gaps. It is ideal as a protective and damping strip, for door and window stops, or for flat surfaces with medium loads.

Is 3 mm suitable as a furniture glide?
For flat furniture surfaces with moderate loads, 3 mm thickness can be used.
However, for classic chair or table legs, we recommend our 5 mm thick felt glides, as these are designed for point loads.

What is the difference between 1.5 mm and 2 mm?
A 3 mm thickness offers significantly greater material strength and therefore higher shock absorption and pressure resistance. It is better suited for applications with heavier loads or larger gaps.

How well does the 3 mm felt tape dampen sound?
Due to its greater material thickness, it significantly reduces impact noise and vibrations compared to 1.5 mm or 2 mm variants.

Is the felt tape suitable for outdoor use?
No. This product is intended for indoor use. Moisture and weather conditions can impair its adhesive strength and material structure.

Is the 3 mm felt tape reusable?
No. The dispersion acrylate adhesive is designed for a permanent bond. Once removed, the tape is generally not reusable.

How long does the 3 mm felt tape last?
With normal indoor use, a lifespan of several years is possible. The lifespan depends on stress, friction, and the surface.

On which surfaces does the tape adhere?
The felt tape adheres to clean, dry and smooth surfaces such as wood, plastic, metal or painted surfaces.

When should I use special felt glides instead of felt tape?
For areas subject to continuous, localized stress, e.g., under chair or table legs, special felt glides are the better choice, as they are specifically designed for this purpose.
